Three 1-day workshops on Tuesday the 9th of June
Tumor growth and tumor growth inhibition modeling workshop
Lixoft is running a 1 day hands-on workshop on tumor growth and tumor growth inhibition modeling with the MonolixSuite on Tuesday the 9th of June.
A variety of ODE-based models have been published to describe data of longitudinal tumor size. This workshop will provide an overview of the most general ones and their inclusion in a modular library, and discuss guidelines for the modelling of tumor growth data.
It will alternate lectures and hands-on sessions, using real dataset examples to show how to model tumor growth data, including how to choose the model from the library, estimate the parameters and diagnose the model, as well as combining tumor growth data with PK measurements or time-to-event data such as survival.
No prior experience of the MonolixSuite is required. Temporary licenses for the MonolixSuite will be provided.

Advanced Monolix workshop
Lixoft is running a 1 day hands-on workshop on advanced Monolix on Tuesday the 9th of June.
The course is designed for modelers with already a good knowledge of Monolix, who wish i) to better understand the methods, the algorithms and their options, ii) learn how to implement complex models, iii) improve their strategy for model building.
The course will consist of both lectures and hands-on sessions with Monolix. A dedicated Q&A hour session will be proposed.

QSP and mechanistic PK/PD modeling workshop
Lixoft is running a 1 day hands-on workshop on quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) modeling with the MonolixSuite on Tuesday the 9th of June.
The MonolixSuite offers an integrated and powerful framework to implement, fit, diagnose and simulate QSP models. The workshop will alternate lectures and hands-on sessions. After an introduction to the goals and advantages of QSP models, the setup of QSP models in Monolix will be explained and exemplified using a representative data set. In the afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to practice the implementation of a QSP model and the estimation of its parameters from clinical data. The calibrated model will finally be used to answer precise research questions via simulations. No prior experience of the MonolixSuite is required. Temporary licenses for the MonolixSuite will be provided.

Two 1/2-day workshops on Tuesday the 9th of June
Simulx2020 workshop
Lixoft is running a half-day workshop on Tuesday the 9th of June (afternoon) on advanced simulations with Simulx 2020R1 – a simulation tool equipped with a user friendly graphical interface and fully integrated with all MonolixSuite applications. Thanks to the interactive GUI, modelers interested in performing complex simulations can follow the course without prior knowledge in Monolix and programming. This workshop presents the Simulx interface and typical simulation workflows including: definition of simulation elements, exploration and construction of a study design, simulation of clinical trials and endpoints. Hands-on session focuses on the practical use of Simulx for scenarios starting from simple treatments and going up to complex clinical trials. Temporary licenses for the MonolixSuite are provided.

Non compartmental and compartmental analysis with PKanalix
Lixoft is running a half-day workshop on non-compartmental (NCA) and compartmental analysis (CA) with PKanalix, a MonolixSuite applications, on Tuesday the 9th of June (morning). It is meant for anyone interested in analysis of PK data sets, bioequivalence assessment and bridging to simulation and pop-PK modelling. No prior experience of the MonolixSuite is required. This workshop presents how to analyse data sets for several typical designs. The main focus is on the NCA and CA workflows, bioequivalence and the connection with the other MonolixSuite applications – all via a user-friendly graphical interface. The hands-on session is to practice exposure analysis, comparison of drug formulations and passage to Monolix for population modelling and Simulx for simulations. Temporary licenses for the MonolixSuite are provided.

One 1-day workshop on Monday the 8th of June
MonolixSuite workshop
Lixoft is running a 1 day hands-on workshop on the Monolix Suite on Monday the 8th of June.
The course is designed for modelers with none to intermediate knowledge of the MonolixSuite. It will present the full modeling and simulation workflow on concrete examples using the 4 applications of the suite: Datxplore for the data visualization, Mlxplore for the exploration of the model behavior, Monolix for parameter estimation and model diagnosis and Simulx for clinical trial simulations.
The course will in particular focus on the modeling strategy, the model implementation and the model diagnosis. Two real case studies will be used, covering a PK and a PKPD example of modeling and simulation.
